Picture this: you’re in the middle of an improv scene and all is going well, until suddenly, you hit an unexpected obstacle. Awkward silence fills the air, panic starts to creep in. How did we end up here? Fear not! In this workshop, you will learn to think on your feet, switch gears, and whip out the perfect tool to save the day. Let’s dive in and crack this scene wide open!

This Improv Workshop will be conducted in English, and I call it: The Heist.
Get ready to master a variety of skills that will take your improv game to the next level. You will acquire numerous techniques, and through practice, integrate them seamlessly into your repertoire. You will leave this improv workshop equipped with tools that make you a better player but also a better scene partner.
A few of the questions we will tackle in this workshop:
“What are the most common “traps” in improv scenes and how can I see them coming?”
“how can I help my partners that walked into a dead end and are looking for a way out?”
“how can I advance a scene that is stuck or switch topics?”
“how can I create a spectacular endings to an improv scene?”

“…all the while having fun doing it?”
This is a full-day improv workshop with with plenty of breaks and lots of fun. The day will fly by!

About The Teacher

I am the founder of Basel’s Improv school “Improlab” and have been deeply immersed in the improv world for over five years. My experience includes serving as a cast member and teacher at one of Europe’s premiere professional improv theaters, Anundpfirsich. I’ve had the privilege of teaching more than 350 improv lessons to both newcomers and advanced students, in addition to conducting dozens of workshops (including The Heist) across Switzerland and Europe, for individuals and corporate clients.
Nothing brings me more joy than sharing my passion for this often-underappreciated art form. I am eager to share all my insights and secrets with you, to not only ignite your interest in improv further but to help you excel in it. At least that’s what ChatGPT tells me to say.

Looking forward to meeting you soon!
